Spanish-born, Amsterdam based NAKANO BLU has been in Amsterdam since 2021 and, after an early time of lo-fi house and dub techno, his practice moved into the sounds of IDM and diasporic-latin influenced club music. Alongside the dancefloor focused tracks, NAKANO BLU has exhibited a collaboration project with photographer Kim Boske for her solo show at FLATLAND Gallery in Amsterdam and his first museum show for 'AIZOME' at De Utrecht in Leeuwarden. In 2024 his collaborative installation with Jef Nollet was premiered at The New Current during Rotterdam Art Week. The combination of installation sound compositions and genres like IDM or Jungle is what NAKANO likes to call ECM or 'Experimental Club Music'. His latest release ´Sentadona´ on Amsterdam label Sann Odea has caught the attention of the underground club scene and received support from the likes of NOISIA, Ehua, NVST, Merca Bae and many others. NAKANO BLU´s sounds can be heard on Berlin's dark techno label Corresponding Positions Records, Kosovo's LXVIII and in various V.A. compilations by Lo_Fidelity and Infinite Pleasure. His releases have also been premiered in the incredibly respected channels The Brvtalist, SoundsFromNowhere, HATE and Inverted Audio among others.
