Lilla Belso is a sound and visual artist from Budapest. Growing up in the city, she enjoys creating a juxtaposition in her sound, drawing inspiration from traditional Hungarian and Romani folk, often combining it with field recordings and textural ambient. Her practice explores research, active listening and sound archival, memory, and the preservation of identity through sound. She is currently based in Amsterdam where she performs under the alias Portamento.
